For Christmas, I surprised Nick with two tickets to see his FAVORITE player, LeBron James, play against his FAVORITE team, The Chicago Bulls. Watching the Bulls play in the United Center has been a lifelong dream of his and seeing them play The Cavs was just icing on the cake! We flew out to Chicago at the end of March, primarily for the game, but decided to stay a few extra days for a fun vacation before wedding season picks up.
We really enjoyed walking around the city, eating A LOT of deep dish pizza, drinking wine, and looking at the city lights at night time. We stayed at The Hard Rock Hotel, which was a different experience for us, staying on the 20th floor but we were close to all of the action and within walking distance to most places. We walked to places like The Art Institute of Chicago, The Bean, and several nearby restaurants including, Giordano's Pizza, and The Purple Pig. We also ended up scoring tickets to see Hamilton with Wayne Brady in the cast and sat on the SIXTH row! What an epic performance of a FANTASTIC production. We ventured over to the House of Blues and Gino's East Pizza throughout our stay. Prior to the Bulls vs Cavs game, we headed over to the Michael Jordan Steakhouse for a delicious meal while marveling at the various photographs on the walls of Michael Jordan's days playing for the Bulls. All in all, it was a fabulous trip and we are excited to visit again soon.
The following photos are a combination of images I snapped with my camera and iPhone photos of various moments throughout our days spent in Chicago.
All The Best,
