My husband and I decided to take a spontaneous trip to Manhattan this week, just for a day. He had some meetings to go to and I had some work I needed to do on my computer back at the hotel. After his meetings, we went to Aggieville for dinner (I still think the Kite's burger is the best) and just walked around afterward. Being back in Manhattan reminds me of where I was five years ago. I was just about to graduate with a degree in Apparel Marketing and not really knowing what my next move was. The "real world" seemed big and intimidating.
Luckily, Nick and I both found jobs in KC after college and thus started our life together. I love being back in Manhattan because I can see how far I have come in such a short time. I have learned what it means to go "all in" for your dreams. And I am so thankful for where we are now. We have a great community that we are a part of with amazing friends and family. I am so glad we are where we are. But a little walk down memory lane is fun too.
All The Best,
